Course roadmap · Manual / functional tester → AI tester

Zero to AI Tester

A structured path for testers who have never written code. It starts at the terminal, teaches Python from nothing, and ends with a portfolio that evaluates, red-teams, and regression-tests real AI systems.

The road, drawn to scale
Each segment is one module. Width is the hours it takes. Click one to jump to it.
What you can do after each stage. Each step needs the one before it.
You needTwo or more years of manual or functional testing. Comfortable with test cases, bug reports, Postman.
You do not needAny code, any terminal, any Git. Module 2 teaches Python from the first line.
PaceAbout seven hours a week for 23 weeks. Already write Python? Skip Modules 2 and 3: about 19 weeks.

    What the learner leaves with

    • A GitHub portfolio with six labs and one capstone, each with a README a hiring manager can skim.
    • An eval suite for a chatbot that runs on every commit and fails the build when quality drops.
    • A red-team report with reproducible prompt-injection findings.
    • A test plan template for AI features they can reuse on day one of the new job.
    • A resume rewritten from "manual tester" to "AI quality engineer", and fifty interview answers.

    How the hours were sized

Lecture hours are watching and following along. Lab hours are hands-on with a definition of done. Project hours are open-ended work marked against a rubric. First-time coders usually spend about a third longer on the labs in Modules 2 to 4, and the weekly pace allows for it.
